Dump art, Rockport, 1980

Ten artists from Rockport and Camden "recycled" scrap from the towns' shared dump to create an impressionistic Maine sailing vessel, complete with a sailor standing watch on the bowsprit and a figurehead. The sculpture was at the entrance to the composting facility.
