Description

Towards the end of the 20th century's first decade, the emergence of the one-piece dress simplified silhouettes, as seen in this gold silk satin print dress with horizontally tucked sleeves and black piped detailing. The dress features high-waisted, princess-style lines, 3/4 sleeves, and an attached belt across the waist. The bodice has a net insert at the neckline, and pin-tucked net under sleeves.

The dress is associated with the Plummer family of Portland.
