Description

During World War II, the Army sent soldiers from the segregated 366th Infantry to Maine to guard the rails and bridges against enemy attack. These lines of transportation were critical for moving goods between the US and Canada.

These soldiers stood watch on the Onawa Trestle in Morkill.
