Contributed by Mantor Library at UMF

Description

On November 11, 1918, students at Farmington State Normal School participated in a patriotic parade. The students were active in supporting the troops during the war years. They raised funds for the Red Cross, prepared bandages and made knitted items to send overseas.

Earlier in 1918, a graduate of the Normal School, Thaddeus Roderick, was killed in the war, bringing the reality of the conflict close to home for the school and community.
