Description

Maine Medical Center constructed the Charles A. Dana Health Education Center above the Southern Maine Radiation Therapy Institute. Designated for community health programs and education for Maine Medical Center residents, medical students, doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals – the education center added classrooms, conference rooms, and a 236-seat auditorium.

Connected to the Charles A. Dana Health Education Center were the original central tower of Maine General Hospital on the western side, and the Richards Wing visible rising behind it.
