Description

Crowds, including soldiers in uniform, milled outside the Fort Williams Theatre in Cape Elizabeth.

Fort Williams was a military base established in 1872, but became fully staffed when WWI broke out, hosting Coast Artillery Corps and Maine National Guard in preparation for potential air raids coming from overseas.
