Sarah Tibbetts (1840-1910) wrote to her husband distraught that their teenage son Eddie stole money. Eddie had accompanied his father, Captain John M. Tibbetts (1841-1926) on previous trips at sea.
Eddie showed the money to two of his brothers, Charles and Will, and told his sister Maud that he earned the money working with his father.
