Description

The Landlocked Salmon was labeled as the Maine State fish in 1969 because of its abundance in the lakes and ponds in the state. Landlocked Salmon are closely related to the Atlantic Salmon but never have lived any part of their lives in the sea, instead in fresh water locations across Maine.
