Description
The African Methodist Episcopal Church, otherwise known as the A.M.E. Church, is a denomination located across the country for mostly African-Americans. This church was founded and constructed in 1914 and is home to the state's oldest congregation of African-Americans. Today, the church is listed as a National Historic Location and is called the Green Memorial A.M.E. Zion church named after Moses Green who was an escaped slave.
