Description

Thousands of women from across the country came to the Seventh Annual Convention of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs that was held in Portland, July 12-18, 1925. The convention was hosted by the local Portland Business and Professional Women's Club. Attendees arrived by train at Union Station and spent time in meetings and exploring southern Maine, which included a day of amusement at Old Orchard Beach and a clam bake on Peaks Island.

Bonnie Chorlton was a member of the Missouri delegation. She was still in Portland five days after the convention had ended. Many of the women from the convention stayed in and around Maine after the convention to go on vacation.

Chorlton was a teacher of expression and dramatics in the Weona studio. She graduated from Christ College and had four children with her husband.
