Pepperell Mill #3 brick tunnel, Biddeford, 2015

In 1854 the Saco water Power Company built the Pepperell Manufacturing Company Mill #3 in Biddeford, later known as Mill #2 or Lincoln Street Mill in the early 1900's.

The cellar pedestrian tunnel leads from the steam boiler room to the lagoon area, where the canals and turbines were located.
