Snow loader, Portland, 1935

Description

This was one of two large machines operated by the Public Works Department. Each machine was capable of loading a truck in 30 seconds. This photo was one of four in the November 13th, 1935 issue of the Portland Evening Express, used to highlight the departments readiness for the approaching winter season.
