Description

The December 15th, 1936 edition of the Portland Evening Express included the humorous article, "Famous Names on Public School Lists Make Known Their Wants to Santa." Al Smith, also the name of the presidential candidate in 1928, was pictured here delivering a wish list to Santa. This Al wanted a cowboy hat.
