Description
This picture was probably taken at an annual Portland Press Herald-Express Cooking School, a free week-long event that the newspaper sponsored at the Portland City Hall Auditorium. Food baskets were given to early attendees. In 1934, for example, other prizes were awarded through out the event, such as a Kelvinator Electric Refrigerator, Quality Gas Range, and a Sears Roebuck Aluminum Stove Set.
