Description

William May Achorn's house, 95 Main Street, adjoined the Achorn Bros. store which he owned with his brother Charles until Charles died in 1918. Note the seven hitching posts available for store customers.

The grist mill, later a dry shed (dark building), abutted the sawmill on the Sheepscot River.
