An American Bandstand type program, The Dave Astor Show aired locally each week on Saturday afternoons from 1956 through 1971, and featured students from local high schools, as well as regular guest performers. On April 14, 1962, Lewiston High School students appeared on the program.
Originally titled "For Teenagers Only," Astor's program was first broadcast on WGAN (which later became WGME). It moved to WCSH by 1963.
