Description
The hull for the S.S. "Falmouth" pictured under construction at the Cumberland Shipyard on February 26, 1918. The shipyard was located in South Portland.
The Cumberland Shipyard was originally built to compete for government wartime (World War 1) contracts for vessels between 3000-12000 tons.
