Description

Sadie E. Gowen (1865-1950) lived in this eclectic style house at 79 Main Street in the early to mid-1900s. Note the scroll-cut supports and pedimented window detail on the porch. Lawrence and Dorothy Tibbetts Hardy bought this house in the 1950s and lived here until 2008.

Most likely Sadie is the woman on the right with her step-father James Gallison, a Civil War veteran, all dressed and decorated for a patriotic holiday.
