Chansonetta Stanley Emmons often photographed scenes in West New Portland, a village in the town of New Portland. This photograph of Joan True perhaps shelling peas is an example of Emmons nostalgic aesthetic. Emmons entitled this image "Old table chair #5,", as it was part of a series of local personalities seated infront of the large, round table-chair.
