Description
William Cobb served in World War I from August of 1917 until April 29, 1919 when he was honorably discharged. After leaving Camp Bartlett in Westfield, Massachusetts, William traveled overseas to France, with his brother Herbert, as a part of the 103rd U.S. Infantry. He had been in France for two months when he wrote this letter to his mother discussing mail delays, Christmas, and receiving his gas mask as well as other gear.
