Description

During the 1980's, condominium development along Portland's historic waterfront threatened the city's identity as a working waterfront. The backlash culminated in the development of the slogan depicted in this poster.

This struggle culminated with the publication of the 1992 "Waterfront Alliance Report," which informed Portland's development of waterfront zoning and regulation.

Karen Sanford helped with the movement and Willard Goodman created this poster.
