Felt Banner from Camp Runoia, Belgrade Lakes, 1921

Description

This handmade felt banner lists the names of the Camp Runoia sporting teams and their cumulative points for each summer from 1921 to 1925. In 1921 the teams were named the Hooks and the Eyes. In 1922, the Crickets and Grasshoppers. 1923 was the first year that they chose the colors for the names of the teams and they have done that ever since: the Blues and the Whites. Camp Runoia was founded in 1907 in North Belgrade and continues operating today in Belgrade Lakes.
