Description

In the 1930s seining was a common pursuit for Monhegan fisherman. These seine boats moored in Monhegan harbor were some of the high-liners, sometimes catching thousands of pounds of fish in a few hours.

From left to right: Courtland Brackett’s Natalie B., Ernest Brackett’s Alert, and George “Cass” Brackett’s Novelty.
