Description
The photo shows the operating room in the old hospital building--used from 1947 to 1964 and formerly known as the Paine Hospital, which operated from1909 to 1947--a few years prior to the building of the new hospital.
The personnel in the photo are the surgeon, the assistant surgeon, the operating room nurse, and the anesthesiologist. From left to right standing: Dr. G. Curran, Nurse Nancy (unknown surname), Dr. Richard Munce, and Nurse A.M. Augustine in the St. Joseph Hospital operating room.
