The original Waldoboro Fire Department patch which was worn by members of the department on personal jackets and dress uniforms is a yellow square containing an image of the town's first fire engine, the Water Witch.

Chief Robert Maxcy ordererd the patch sometime in the late 1960s to early 1970s. The patch was redesigned in the late 1990s and again in late 2012 to help kick of the 175th Anniversary Celebration the fire department was having in August of 2013.
