Description

Looking north down Union Street in Rockland, the Old Universalist Church is visible in the center. It was sold at auction in 1875 to make room for a larger Universalist Church. This old building was moved to Vinalhaven and is now the Vinalhaven Historical Society.

The new Knox County Courthouse, built in 1875, is visible behind the church on the left.
