Victory parades took place throughout the United States, including Lubec. Featured in this image are the female employees of the Peacock Canning Company, a sardine packing facility in Lubec. The reverse of this image reads “November 11, 1918, Peacock Packers in Lubec, Allan Crane driver.”
The Peacock Canning Company operated in Lubec throughout the 20th century, closing in the mid-1990s.
