In 1923, the nurses' training school begins an affiliation with Boston Lying-In; students will study obstetrics there for four months.

The new laundry building is completed.

An electric elevator replaces the hydraulic machine in the 1899 surgical building.

The power plant above the boiler room is remodeled, adding coal pockets capable of holding 800 tons.
