Our Partners: Contributing Organizations and Communities
Maine Memory Network (MMN) provides many ways for local historical organizations and their communities to share their history. This page provides a jumping off point to find historical items, online exhibits, and other resources created by organizations and local teams in communities in every corner of Maine.

Community History Websites
The following websites were created by community teams comprised of historical organizations, schools, libraries, and other groups with a vested interest in local history. Our first community websites were created in 2006-07 under a pilot program that then became the more formal Maine Community Heritage Project in 2008–2010 under a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
We hope you enjoy visiting the sites. If your community is interested in building a local history website, please visit Share Your Local History to find out how. For archived information on the Maine Community Heritage Project, please visit the MCHP Overview.
