Description

The interior of the Loring AFB snack bar with unidentified customers and employees.

Made by an unidentified staff photographer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to document completion of the the snack bar in 1953, it is part of hundreds of photographs showing construction projects at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone during the 1950s.

Loring AFB was built to support B-52 and KC-135 aircraft. The base opened in 1952 and closed in 1991.
