Aroostook Potato Seed Cutter, Littleton, ca. 1920

Contributed by Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum

Description

The Aroostook Potato Seed Cutter had four different cutting patterns for different sized potatoes. Foot powered, it was intended to cut seed more efficiently than could be done by hand, but in practice, a skilled hand cutter (see MMN # 12950) was faster than this mechanized system.
