Description
Today called the Sarah Farmer Inn, in the 1890s when this photograph was taken, the building was called the Eliot Hotel, then given the name 'Green Acre' by the poet John Greenleaf Whittier. Intellectuals and spiritualists of the day were found here during the summer months, giving talks and having discussions on a wide range of subjects.
The Sarah Farmer Inn is part of the Green Acre Baha'i School in Eliot, Maine.
