Description
This panoramic photograph was taken on the day of an important cattle auction. The Cumberland Center steam railroad station is seen on the right. The many people attending the auction can be seen clustered around the house porch in the center of the photograph. While many parked their automobiles between the house and the train station, others who travelled by horse-drawn vehicle tied their horses to various fences on the left side near the larger barn. Many of the horses, still in their traces, are covered with blankets to protect them from the weather.
