Description

This card shows the 1896-7 Dixfield Center School roster with thirty one students and their teacher J. M. Holland. The school was located on Dixfield Common, built in 1830 and lost to fire in 1906. These family names represent many of the founding families of Dixfield and many decendants continue to live in Dixfield, East Dixfield, and Dixfield Common areas in 2014.
