Description

Washington Street looking toward Sanford Square from 1896. The Smith Block is on the right, Sanford National Bank to its left, then Frank Broggi's fruit store on the corner. Frank Broggi was born in Milan, Italy on February 9, 1851 and died in Sanford March 24, 1909. He was the grandfather of Carl J. Broggi (1909-1956) for which Rt. 111 & Rt. 202 near Sanford are named. Print from a 4" x 6" glass negative.
