Description

Henry F. Hill (born 1839) of Presque Isle served in the Civil War as a Captain in the 7th Regiment Infantry. The Regiment mustered in on August 21, 1861 in Augusta and saw battle in Antietam, Chancellorsville and Gettysburg. Hill died in the war and is listed as one of 38 men who gave their lives for their country on Presque Isle's Civil War Monument.
