Pyrene fire extinguisher, Waldoboro, 1953

This Pyrene Push Button Fire Extinguisher is made of brass and is typical of home fire extinguishers of the 1950s.
To use the extinguisher, the home owner aimed it at the fire and depressed a button on the top. Many came with a mount to attach them to the wall.
