Description

This lithograph of famed opera singer Annie Louise Cary, who was born in Wayne, contains her name in fancy script and the text "Drawn and printed for The Musical Globe by Bencke & Scott. 207 Fulton St. N.Y." Bencke & Scott were well known 19th-century printers.

The Globe, later called The Musical Globe and Ladies Fashion Bazaar, was a periodical of the late 19th century primarily concerned with music, drama, literature, and art.
