Description

This store probably was on the east side of Main Street in Springvale opposite the Bradford Block. Next door at 67 Main Street was Jenness Department Store while on the other side at 77 Main was Stiles Bros. Store.

The upper left pane of glass is missing but from the other three panes the lettering advertised a "Ladies & Gents Ice Cream Parlor."

The building later housed Demers' Pharmacy, which had an ice cream parlor fondly remembered by many Springvale residents.

Main Street in Springvale was renumbered before 1900 so this photograph must have been taken in the 1890s or perhaps a bit earlier.
