Alton Thomas, Leeds, ca. 1900

Contributed by Leeds Historical Society

Alton Thomas, a breeder and trader in fine horses, is shown riding a sulky at his farm. He lived on the River Road just north of the village of West Leeds.

The son of Benjamin Collins Thomas and Mary Susan Lindsey Rounds, Alton was born on April 17, 1868. He married Annie Elsie Lincoln in July 1870.

This picture probably dates from the 1900-1910 period based on similar postcards of this period.
