Description

This view shows a man standing at the mouth of the tunnel under Maverick Street in the Achorn Quarry, located at Blackington's Corner in the Northwest section of Rockland. The Achorn Quarry connected with the Cedar Street Quarry on the other side of Maverick Street. Both quarries were eventually owned by the Cobb Lime Company.
