Description
"Engine at right is No. 59, of which Al Kilgore was engineer and Jack Esterbrook was fireman. Both were killed. Engine at left was No. 15. This was driven by Charles Small, also killed in the collision. Fireman Wilbur Lawrence of No. 15 saved his life by jumping. Charles Small, just mentioned, lived in Skowhegan. His wife was the daughter of Columbus Arnold, who lived many years on Madison Avenue, in the house, just back from the street, to the east, which afterwards became the residence of the late Nathaniel McQuillan.
