Peleg Wadsworth (1748-1829 ) wrote to his daughter Elizabeth (1779-1802) about the lock of George Washington's hair sent to them by Martha Washington. This is one of a series of letters written between Elizabeth Wadsworth, Peleg Wadsworth, and Tobias Lear, Martha Washington's secretary, about the lock of hair.
