Description

The J.C. Robicheaw & Sons moving truck is hauling a load of new seats for the Star Theater located on Main Street in Westbrook in this photograph taken around 1940.

The sign on the truck reads "Truck loads of comfort latest type theatre seats on their way to the Star." The side of the truck reads "J. C. Robicheaw & Sons local and long distance moving Westbrook ME tel. 141."

J.C. Robicheaw & Sons was located at 46 Fitch Street. It was started as a moving and trucking company by John C. Robichew in the early 1920s and continued in the trucking business for 50 years.
