This photo shows pals Charlotte Collins, Mary Pepper, Donna Collins, and Karen Young in their Easter finery as they prepare to go to Easter services at the Dixfield Congregational "Church on the Hill" in 1956.

The Dixfield Congregational Church, built in 1828, united the Universalist, Methodist and Free Will Baptist congregations of Dixfield in 1912. For nearly 200 years, this old church has served the community of Dixfield.
