Description

The Wildcat was a pleasure boat that belonged to Charles F. and Alice M. Eaton who owned the Eaton Hardwood Mill on Lewey Lake in Princeton. The Eatons owned the first power pleasure boats in town. Persons listed in this picture are _____ Tupper, Joseph Emerson Eaton (son of Charles and Alice), Charles Freedom Eaton, Jr. (son of Charles and Alice), unidentified, and John McCann, the captain of the boat.

The Eatons lived in town from around 1889 to 1920 when they sold the mill to Edward Draper of Bangor and moved back to Calais, from whence they came. Charlie Bradford was the skipper on these boats until he moved to Grand Lake Stream, then John McCann became the skipper sometime after 1894.
