Description

This thermometer and perpetual calendar hung in the Jameson Wotton Wharf store. At the top is a Hatchet Brand fahrenheit thermometer. At the bottom is a perpetual calendar with removable cards for the days and months of the year. It was made by the Twitchlell-Champlin Co., a large wholesale grocer located on Merrill's Wharf in Portland. It is very likely that this was a salesman's sample given to the store.
