Description

Walter Wotton built this handsome Victorian house for his new bride, Mary Etta, in 1900. He kept a careful record of the costs of building the house and noted that the total cost of the house was $1699.96. On the right side of the postcard, Walter Wotton has written, "Best Wishes Walter."

The gingerbread trim along the eaves, ornate peaked roofs, and wraparound porch were typical of the houses in the Victorian era.
