Capt. Joseph F. Land, 20th Maine, ca. 1863

Joseph F. Land of Edgecomb enlisted as a 1st lieutenant in Co. G of the 20th Maine Regiment in August 1862. He was 24 years old.

He was later promoted to full captain and commander of Co. H.

After the war, he and his wife, Phebe, lived in Portland. He was a crockery dealer in 1870
