Demolition underway at the Thompson Inn, South Bristol, ca. 1960

The Thompson Inn building was operated as a boarding house and then a summer hotel from the 1890's until the early 1960's. Not long after its operation became uneconomical, all but the original Thompson homestead was torn down. The homestead remains as a private residence.
